How to Lock a Desktop Background Wallpaper / Picture in Windows 7?

Do want to prevent someone from changing your desktop wallpaper? Then Follow the given steps to lock background wallpaper from your PC. Using this trick no one wont change the wallpaper without your permission.

Block or Prevent Desktop Wallpaper Change in Windows 7 PC

Step 1: Go to Start and type gpedit.msc and then press enter. This command will open the "Local Group Policy Editor" in Windows 7 systems.

Step 2: Now click "User Configuration" from the left side panel.

Step 3: In "User Configuration" menu click and expand Administrative Templates -> Control Panel -> Personalization

Step 4: Now right click on "Prevent changing desktop background" and click Edit.

Step 6: On this window select option "Enabled" to stop changing background picture.

Step 7: Click OK and restart your computer.
